Teresa Marie Cherry

Teresa Marie Cherry, 56, on April 20, our precious and beloved sister, Teresa, passed away unexpectedly. We, her family, find peace in knowing she entered Heaven and was reunited with her loved ones, whom she missed dearly.  Teresa was born on October 9, 1967, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to Kelley June and Violet Marie (Burr) Cherry. She was a beautiful, bubbly, curly-haired little girl who loved to be out of doors. As she grew older she enjoyed family vacations, whether it be to visit relatives for the weekend or to amusement parks, her favorite being Opryland. 
She had been employed at the Pilot Travel Center in Memphis, Indiana, where she worked in housekeeping She loved her music, especially gospel music, and she would spend hours watching videos on her tablet. 
Before her health started to fail she enjoyed taking care of the yard at the home she shared with her sister Gearldine. She also had a love for knife collecting, this was her only hobby. 
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, maternal grandparents, Charles and Lorene (Zollman) Burr, and paternal grandparents, Garland and Mae (Wood) Cherry, along with several beloved family members. 
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sisters, Gearldine, Terry (Harley), and Patricia. One brother, Timmy (Karol) Nieces and Nephews, Shannon (Nick), Tommy (Trish), Sandy (Joe), Jessica (Russell), Jenny (Brandy), and Amber (Rick), Great nieces and nephews, Lauren (Devin), Veronica, Hailey (Isaac), Buddy, Harrison, Elijah, Jack, Mia, Taylor (Anthony), David (Courtney), Russell Ill, Talon, Draven and Zelda; Great Niece and Nephew, Paxton and Vanna. 
Teresa also leaves behind a special cousin who was always just a phone call away and ready to help, Karen Sue (John), and 2 fur babies, Precious and Luna. Along with several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. 
Funeral Services will be held at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, Indiana on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 3:00 pm, Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm, and again on Friday from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

The family respectfully requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St Jude Children's Hospital, cards will be available at the funeral home.
